My husband and kids love to workout. Me not so much. I can be pulled away from my computer or books to exercise but only on rare occasions when the exercise is actually fun – you know like frisbee, tennis, hiking, etc. I’m not much for pushups, sit-ups or other CrossFit type exercises. I had forgotten the old pastime of jumprope until I was asked to review this NoLimits™ Adjustable CrossFit Jump Rope. This thing brought back lots of memories.
Aside from the memories we really liked how this jumprope was adjustable. It can fit everyone in my family. My husband and I are both 6′ tall and we had to bring the rope in about six inches, so I imagine this would work well for people who are even taller. My two older kids who are 10 and 7 years old, both liked using the rope too. Even with the rope adjusted down to fit them they didn’t have much trouble and the extra ends sticking out to the side didn’t get in the way like I thought they would.
The handles are comfortable to grip and the cable is easy for adults to adjust. My kids couldn’t loosen or tighten the clamps, but that’s not a problem. The cable is made of metal and coated in rubber. It seems pretty durable, but only time will tell if the coating with stay intact with regular use.
My only complaint is the cable comes with little rubber caps to cover the cut ends, and we lost one of these caps off the cable within minutes of using the rope. It’s out in my yard somewhere, never to be seen again. I wish they would have affixed the caps to the ends permanently so the cord ends wouldn’t be so rough.
